    Hi Daniel,

    1. Yes, root privileges are not required to run Dashboard Builder. All you need is a standard user right with read/write permissions for the folder and subfolders in your own directory.
    2. You cannot change the color of the pie chart because these charts are based on your data and not x and y axes. However, you can change the color of other graphs such as bars, lines, areas, etc.

Yes, you can connect to the MS SQL Server database. You need to enable PDO_SQLSRV on the hosting server and give remote access of your MS SQL server to the host where you have installed the DashbaordBuidler to connect to the SQL Server.

Dashboard Builder has a dropdown gadget that allows you to load difference charts without loading the whole page.

If you have provided the correct details of your database and still see the red cross icon, please ensure:

    a) allow_url_fopen is enabled i.e. allow_url_foopen=on in your php.ini and restart your apache server
    b) PDO driver such as MySQL is installed
    c) Read-write permission for Dashboardbuilder folders and subfolders, i. e chmod -R 777 dashboard-builder-v38-FREE

The Dashboard Builder generates an external PHP code and class, which can be used on the Laravel framework as well. For more details, take a look at this documentation on how to use external PHP class on the Laravel framework at https://laraveldaily.com/how-to-use-external-classes-and-php-files-in-laravel-controller here

In order to connect PostgreSQL DB, you need PostgreSQL driver for PDO to be installed on your server.
